The Royal Armouries are the United Kingdoms National collections of Arms and Armour throughout history. For those of us in the United States, getting to see these collections are generally left to wishes and fancy as a vacation trip to be thought about, but not necessarily accomplished. However, there is an alternative in Louisville Kentucky. According to the Royal Armouries website, in 2004 the Royal Armouries and the Frazier International History Museum collaborated in bringing a piece of medieval history to the United States. The entire third floor of the Frazier Museum is dedicated to the collections of the Royal Armouries from 1600 to the 1900's. To read more about this see both the Royal Armouries website and the Frazier International History Museum. |

Re:The British Royal Armouries, in Kentucky!
Apr 27 2010 15:23:24 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Its not the babysitting thats the issue so much as our overpacked schedule. As it is, I had to give up our weekend out for my Anniversary for Daddy/son time. And Cirion had to take a week of vacation JUST to get the floors installed upstairs since we dont have any free weekends to do it.
